My passion for cooking and baking began when I was a child. I loved spending time with my mom in the kitchen preparing meals and baking cookies. I'm sure I probably made more mess than helped, however, I enjoyed it immensely. Both of my grandmothers were amazing women as well. They could feed large groups of family and friends with little effort, as I remember it. 

 

In 1999 I began a seven year stint working in the motion picture industry. As a Craft Service Manager, I provided food service for the likes of Richard Gere, Jennifer Lopez, Ann-Margaret, Patrick Swayze, and many others on a number of films, music videos, and commercials that were based out of Winnipeg, MB.  During this time I also catered breakfasts and worked as a sous chef.  This was an amazing experience through and through. 

 

After much thought, I decided it was time to spend my working hours doing what I truly love. This journey began with my husband's 5th generation family Vinarterta recipe. With kindness and patience, my Mother-in-law provided me with hands on teaching for which I will be forever grateful.
